Off Australia's north coast on Kwaasi Island, Alba waits in limbo, held captive by an unhinged crime boss, Leo who heads a dark and twisted stronghold of ruthless illegal activity. In the aftermath of a wedding massacre, a chance encounter with two rebellious villagers is Alba's only way out, and together they embark on an emotionally charged, highly dramatic journey of vengeance and survival, where all is never as it seems. To reach the ARK13 transport ship arriving ashore, Alba must traverse a highly gritty and impossible path, where every breath is a close call. She has to use all her guile and guts, to stay one step ahead of Leo even if it costs her everything.
